Rajnikant Tailor and Bangalor Cricket Team Visit To Play In England

(PRWeb UK) December 9, 2010

The 2-11 Malleshwaram cricket team from the north of the city of Bangalore are to take a ten-day cricketing trip to England where they will meet with some local teams in Surrey and Sussex, join in training sessions and compete in friendly matches with local sides. The team is currently playing in the local league and their progress has earned them a great deal of attention, particularly after a recent impressive win against last year?s League winners.

Top bowler Rajnikant Tailor was delighted that all the arrangements for the trip are now in place and preparations can begin. ?We are thrilled at this opportunity to go to England and meet with players there?, said Rajnikant Tailor in a recent interview for a local Bangalore newspaper. ?This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and many of the players on our team have never even traveled abroad. We are hoping to improve our skills and swap ideas with out counterparts in England and learn how the game is played over there. We are used to seeing English cricket on the television but it will be such a unique experience to actually meet players and watch matches live.?

The trip is being arranged by the local board of cricket clubs and is seen as an important way in which to develop the skills of grass-roots players. Bangalore is famous for cricket but many smaller clubs and lesser-known players don?t have the chance to make the grade. This should allow the players to develop their skills and learn from each other.

It is hoped that, if everything goes according to plan and the trip is a success, that the team?s English counterparts will embark on a similar trip to Bangalore the following year. This will ensure that permanent links are made between the various clubs and long-term relationships are forged.

ABOUT: The Bangalore cricket team have been causing a stir on the local cricket scene with their run of outright victories. The team is made up of local sportsmen including Rajnikant Tailor have now had to dedicate more time to practise and matches as their success continues.

Javi the Frog Hops On Board at Go Visit Costa Rica

San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) May 10, 2011

Leading Costa Rica travel website GoVisitCostaRica.com is pleased to announce the addition to its team the mascot Javi the Frog, one of the country's top experts on sustainable tourism and adventure travel.

Javi, a red-eyed tree frog born in the Gandoca-Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge to a family with 24 brothers and sisters, is famous for his bright green back, vibrant blue sides and shining red eyes. He is also known for his propensity to climb trees and eat crickets, moths, flies and other delicacies found in his home forest. After leaving the wildlife refuge when he was just a young froglet, he has had the chance to see all of Costa Rica's most popular attractions. Thanks to his years of experience traveling around the country, Javi the Frog has amassed a wealth of expertise on Costa Rica vacations.

"I'm so happy to be able to represent all Costa Rica frogs as a spokesman for GoVisitCostaRica.com," said Javi the Frog. "I have hopped all over the country, and during my travels I have experienced all that my home has to offer. I can't wait to share what I know with people who are visiting Costa Rica for the first time."

Although red-eyed tree frogs are at home in the forest, Javi the Frog prefers to stay in Costa Rica hotels. From luxury resorts and eco-lodges to urban hotels and youth hostels, he has stayed in every kind of accommodation to be found in Costa Rica and is happy to help fellow travelers find the perfect place to fit their needs and budget.

Javi the Frog's most important area of expertise, however, is Costa Rica sustainability. Although his own species is not considered to be threatened, the country is home to an amazingly diverse array of creatures protected by conservation programs and sustainable tourism practices.

"Growing up in the rainforest, many of my friends were endangered," Javi the Frog said. "Now that I am working with Go Visit Costa Rica to promote tourism here, it's important to me to teach visitors more about the programs that help protect the biodiversity that makes my home such a special place to live and travel."

"We are all very excited to have Javi the Frog join our team" said Todd Sarouhan, president of GoVisitCostaRica.com. "We think he will not only be an asset for us, he will also help bring about education in sustainable tourism.?
