Since she was 16-years old, it was Ms. Sanchez?s dream to become a fashion designer. Born and raised in Mexico, she spent her time as a child creating beautiful dresses for her dolls. Quinceanera is a tradition that celebrates a girl turning 15. The celebration symbolizes a girl becoming a young woman and is popular in Mexico, Puerto Rico and South America. Girls are allowed to choose special friends to participate in the festivities known as a ?Court of Honor.?
