Conergy Canada?s President, Jared Donald will be participating in a session about post-election strategy at CanSIA?s Solar Canada conference. Mr. Donald will bring his expertise as both a Professional Engineer and his experience working with a variety of different aspects of the solar value chain as Conergy President to offer insight into the regulatory landscape, domestic content requirements, economic policy and lessons learned from the FIT program. In the session, the panellists will discuss ideas on how industry and government can work together to create market stability, drive investment and ensure economic growth for Canada?s solar industry. The session that Mr. Donald is participating in is called ?Next steps for solar in Ontario and impacts for the rest of Canada? and will take place at 14:15 on December 5th, 2011.
?As we enter the FIT review process in Ontario, we can reflect on how the last few years has confirmed the success of the Ontario FIT program in attracting significant private investment throughout the solar value chain in Ontario. While the market faces uncertainty through the review process, the Ontario government has made it clear that solar photovoltaic electricity will retain policy support. This continued commitment to solar will support the development of solar incentives in other jurisdictions across Canada,? stated Jared Donald, President of Conergy Canada.
