ModiFace Launches ?Color Lens? Augmented Reality Video-Coloring Application

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 22, 2011

ModiFace, a leading provider of virtual makeover technologies, today announced the availability of ?HairMixer Live??a new iPhone application for real-time virtual hair style simulation with face detection as well as ?Color Lens? ? an Augmented Reality photo-coloring application that allows users to change the color of objects in real-time as seen by their iPhone/iPod camera.

HairMixer Live automatically detects hairstyle images as seen by the iPhone/iPod camera (such as in a magazine, or on TV, or on a real-life person that the camera is pointing to), and superimposes the hairstyle on the user?s own face.

?HairMixer Live is a revolutionary way for users to try out new looks before heading to the salon. Unlike other hairstyling applications that have preset hairstyles, HairMixer Live has no limit. Any hairstyle seen on a billboard, magazine or even someone on the street; you can try on,? said Nikkie Gatto, mobile project manager and resident beauty expert at ModiFace.

ModiFace also launched Color Lens, a real-time video coloring tool that allows users to click any object in a video and ?recolor? it automatically. This way, for example, users can change the color of their car, or a couch, or even facial cosmetics.

?The ability to change the color of any object as seen by your iPhone/iPod camera is useful for many professions including interior decorators and fashion designers. But the concept of changing any object?s color is extremely entertaining for all users,? said Dr. Parham Aarabi, CEO/Founder of ModiFace.

These applications are both now available for download from the U.S. iTunes store for FREE at:
